Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Service Designer to lead complex service design work across Pricing and Inbound Roaming within our client's EV charging ecosystem.

This role focuses on creating clarity across end-to-end services, spanning digital platforms, operational processes, commercial models, and partner integration's. You will work closely with Product, Commercial, Finance, Technology, and Operations teams to document current services, design future models, and support key strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Pricing

  • Document current ("as-is") pricing services across all channels, including eMSP, webshop, payment terminals, and inbound roaming (UK & Germany).
  • Design future ("to-be") pricing services, supporting location groups and time-of-use pricing.
  • Clearly map systems, processes, ownership, and dependencies.
  • Support longer-term pricing strategy, including potential moves away from CPMS-based pricing.
  • (Optional) Support similar "as-is" documentation for the US market, if capacity allows.

Inbound Roaming

  • Map the end-to-end inbound roaming service (UK & Germany), from partner onboarding through to live operations.
  • Document recurring operational activities such as invoicing, volume discounts, and issue management.
  • Identify service pain points and opportunities to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Support inbound roaming product strategy, including assessment of platform options (eg OCPI wrapper vs SaaS solutions such as ENAPI or Hubject).

What You'll Deliver

  • Clear service blueprints and process maps (as-is and to-be)
  • Simple, decision-ready documentation for Product, Commercial, and Technology teams
  • Insightful summaries highlighting risks, gaps, and strategic implications

Experience & Skills

Essential

  • Senior-level experience in Service Design
  • Proven ability to work on complex, multi-system services
  • Strong stakeholder engagement across Product, Commercial, Finance, and Engineering
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, strategic problem spaces

Desirable

  • Experience with pricing, payments, platforms, or partner ecosystems
  • Background in energy, mobility, or other regulated industries
  • Familiarity with roaming, CPMS, or API-led services
