SITE COORDINATOR (grant-funded) (one site) LOCATIONS:

Gladwin Elementary and Intermediate Schools

REPORTS TO

SPARKS Director

WORK DAYS

Full-time position, 7.5 hours per day. Approximately 224 workdays through September 2027 including 25 summer program days. Potential for contract renewal pending grant award status, some Fridays off.

STARTING DATE

August 18, 2026 or when filled, with pre-service orientation prior to start.

JOB OBJECTIVE

The Site Coordinator will coordinate and lead a high-quality, compliant afterschool program sites by providing administrative leadership, staff supervision, and strategic planning aligned with grant goals and district standards at one or two sites. The Site Coordinator will serve as a central point of communication between students, families, schools, community partners, and staff to ensure a safe, enriching, engaging and inclusive environment that supports student academic growth, social development, and a positive program culture. This role supports all aspects of program management across one or two sites, including data, continuous improvement, family engagement, and adherence to licensing and grant requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Michigan teaching certificate OR experience coordinating youth programs as defined by Michigan Out-of-School Time (MOST) Standards of Quality.
  • Demonstrate ability to lead coordinate and supervise a team while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Provide program leadership, coordinate daily operations, oversee administrative management, and maintain grant and child care licensing compliance.
  • Effectively coordinate with students and families, school-day staff, and community partners to support high-quality programming.
  • Ability to manage program logistics, safety protocols, and student behavior.
  • Familiar with youth development best practices.
