Software Architect - SC Cleared
Fully Remote | Outside IR35 | £500-£600 per day - 12 month contract
They want to build a single agreed API standard for how all the MoD applications talk to each other and Open Banking is just the gold standard they're pointing at as a benchmark. You don't need to know Open Banking itself, the real job is designing the standard: authoring the Swagger documents that define how APIs should look.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop low-latency, high-volume gateway systems supporting classified data transfer environments.
Build and maintain Golang/Java/Rust microservices for secure cross-domain data import/export.
Support containerised deployments across Kubernetes and OpenShift environments.
Contribute to Infrastructure as Code delivery using Terraform and Ansible.
Work closely with secure infrastructure and hardware teams on FPGA diode deployments and cryptographic key management.
Deliver high-performance transport systems, including TFTP-based data transfer solutions.
Required Experience
Active SC Clearance.
Strong software architecture and Back End engineering experience.
Commercial experience with Golang and Java.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
