Location: Westford, MA 01886
Hiring Basis: 12+-month contract
Onboarding Requirements: Position is contingent on clean criminal background, education and employment verification, and drug test.
Pay: $40-$45/hourly/W2
THE OPPORTUNITY
Lotus Technical has a 12+ month contract to possible permanent role for a Software Automation Test Engineer position working onsite in Westford, MA for a medical device manufacturing company.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION
We are looking for a talented and driven Software Automation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our medical device software. This role requires a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, excellent programming skills, and a commitment to quality.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITY / SCOPE
Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for medical device software.
Design and implement automated test cases to verify software functionality, performance, and reliability.
Collaborate with software developers and other stakeholders to identify test requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
Continuously improve and optimize automated testing processes and tools.
Document test procedures, results, and any deviations from expected outcomes.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in software testing technologies and methodologies.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field,
3+ years of experience in automated software testing, preferably in the medical device industry,
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C# link removed) nice to have).
Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., TestComplete).
Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
Must be local to the MA area, Sorry no relocations.
BONUS REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of firmware, embedded systems, or hardware emulation.
