Software Engineer & Cloud Operations Specialist

Contract | 6 months initially | 24 hours per week/3 days per week
Dublin client | Hybrid/remote flexibility depending on location

We are looking for a hands-on Software Engineer & Cloud Operations Specialist for an initial 6-month contract.

Please note: This is a hybrid software engineering and cloud operations role. It is not a pure DevOps, SRE, Cloud Infrastructure or Platform Engineering position.

You must have recent hands-on Back End/API development experience with Node.js and Python, alongside AWS infrastructure, Docker, Ansible and CI/CD.

Essential experience:

• 7+ years hands-on technical experience
• 3+ years in a DevOps-adjacent or cloud operations environment
• 3+ years production Node.js experience
• Frequent/daily Node.js Back End/API development
• Production Python API development, ideally Flask or FastAPI
• 2 3+ years hands-on AWS infrastructure experience
• AWS services such as EC2, RDS, Elastic Beanstalk, Lambda, S3, ECR, IAM or CloudFormation
• Strong Docker/containerisation experience, including image builds, container pipelines or registry work
• Strong Ansible experience, including playbook authoring and infrastructure automation
• Jenkins and/or Bitbucket pipeline ownership
• Linux and Shell Scripting
• Jira experience
