An opportunity has arisen for 2 experienced SQL DBAs/Senior Infrastructure SQL Engineers to support a large-scale infrastructure transformation and application migration programme. This role is ideal for someone with extensive enterprise SQL Server administration experience, particularly around upgrades, migrations, high availability, disaster recovery, and data centre transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain enterprise Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Build and deploy SQL databases using standard infrastructure builds.
• Perform SQL Server upgrades and platform migrations.
• Configure and support Always On Availability Groups and Windows Clustering.
• Manage SQL Server backup, restore and disaster recovery processes.
• Support application migrations and data centre transformation projects.
• Troubleshoot and remediate database and infrastructure issues.
• Work alongside Infrastructure, Security and Project teams.
• Follow Change and Incident Management processes.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 8+ years' SQL Server Administration experience.
• Strong experience with SQL Server .
• Always On Availability Groups.
• SQL Database Build & Deployment.
• SQL Server Upgrades & Migrations.
• Backup & Restore Administration.
• Windows Failover Clustering.
• High Availability & Disaster Recovery (HADR).
• Application Migration support.
• Data Centre Migration experience.
• VMware/Virtualised SQL environments.
• Incident & Change Management.
• Strong troubleshooting and remediation skills.
• Active SC Clearance (mandatory for immediate start).

Desirable

• Enterprise infrastructure transformation experience.
• Financial Services or highly regulated environment experience.
