Job Title: Senior Brand Designer
Location-Type: Hybrid (3x/week onsite in Tysons, VA)
Start Date Is: ASAP
Duration: 6-month contract-to-hire (40 hrs/week)
Compensation Range: $44/hr - $49.50hr W2
Benefits: Eligible for Health, Dental, Vision, 401K

Job Description:
Seeking a Senior Brand Designer to lead strategic brand design work across print, digital, web, signage, and campaign assets for a wide range of client projects.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Create brand systems and visual identities from scratch for new and existing client engagements

  • Design across multiple mediums including print, digital, web, signage, presentations, and campaign assets

  • Translate client goals and brand strategy into thoughtful creative concepts and polished deliverables

  • Present design work and explain rationale, visual choices, and creative direction internally and at times to stakeholders

  • Partner with creative leadership, copywriters, strategists, and broader creative teams to execute integrated brand work

  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects across retainer and new business workstreams

  • Contribute to kickoff sessions, concept development, and design direction for ongoing campaigns

  • Help evolve existing brands while also building new identity systems end to end

Requirements:

Must-Haves:

  • 5-8 years of brand design experience

  • Strong experience designing brands from scratch without pre-existing assets

  • Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop

  • Strong portfolio showing logo design, brand storytelling, and multi-channel design work

  • Experience designing across web, print, digital, and broader branded collateral

  • Excellent typography, hierarchy, layout, and visual storytelling skills

  • Strategic design thinker who can connect visuals to messaging and desired brand feeling

  • Polished communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions clearly

  • Self-starter who can own direction, work proactively, and operate with minimal hand-holding

  • Portfolio link required

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Figma experience

  • Motion graphics or animation experience

  • Creative agency experience

  • Experience writing or shaping light messaging/narrative direction within brand work

  • Exposure to a wide variety of industries and client types
