Sr. Data Solutions Architect (Azure Expertise)

Location: Hybrid / Worcester, MA- 1 day per week on-site

This is a 6 month contract to perm opportunity. Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen and/or Green Card holder to be considered- no Visa sponsorship will be offered. Candidates MUST live local to Worcester, MA to be considered.

Conversion salary once taken perm:

• 6-8 years of experience- $105,000 plus 10% IC Bonus
  
• 8+ years of experience- $124,000 pus 15% IC Bonus
  

The Opportunity: We are looking for a high-level Data Architect to serve as the primary blueprint designer for our enterprise-grade data ecosystems. This isn't just about managing a database; it's about bridging the gap between legacy foundations and a high-performance cloud future. You will own the technical roadmap for how information flows, ensuring our data assets are secure, scalable, and strategically aligned with business growth.

Core Impact Areas:

• Strategic Design: Lead the creation of conceptual and physical data models that support everything from real-time transactional systems to complex analytics warehouses.
  
• Pipeline Leadership: Act as the technical authority for ETL/ELT frameworks, guiding the development of robust integration patterns across modern cloud and traditional platforms.
  
• Governance & Integrity: Build the "rules of the road" for data quality. You'll define the standards for metadata, lineage, and validation to ensure our reporting is beyond reproach.
  
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the translator between business stakeholders and engineering teams, turning high-level KPIs into functional technical components.
  
• Modeling Mastery: Create and optimize curated datasets and semantic layers that empower our BI teams and support self-service reporting.
  

What We're Looking For:

• Cloud Architecture Expert: Deep, hands-on experience designing data solutions within a major cloud ecosystem (specific experience with integrated cloud factory and synapse-level tools is highly valued).
  
• Data Modeling Veteran: Proven ability to author complex source-to-target mappings and manage sophisticated database schemas.
  
• Technical Polyglot: Proficiency in SQL and Python for data profiling, reconciliation, and automated validation.
  
• Hybrid Legacy Experience: Comfort navigating the transition between on-premise "heritage" systems and cutting-edge cloud-native environments.
  
• Communication Pro: Ability to lead architecture reviews, identify risks, and articulate complex technical debt to non-technical leaders.
