Starburst Engineer | New Contract Opportunity!

I'm hiring a Starburst Engineer for our global consultancy client in the Capital Markets sector!

Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end Starburst (Trino) implementation from setup to production
- Design scalable query architecture across data lakes, warehouses, and enterprise sources
- Deploy, configure, and tune Starburst Enterprise or Galaxy
- Integrate data sources (eg Snowflake, databases)
- Implement enterprise security, authentication, and authorization
- Optimize query performance, concurrency, and resource usage
- Establish monitoring, alerting, and operational best practices

Requirements
- Python
- QL
- Starburst, Trino, or Presto experience
- BONUS: Knowledge in Capital Markets, skills in Data Warehousing and ETL/ELT Solutions

Contract details
- Day rate: Open (Inside IR35 via umbrella)
- Location: London (3 days on-site per week, 2 days remote)
- No visa sponsorship available. Must hold the right to work in the UK
- Duration: Contract running initially for 6 months, high likelihood of extension
