We are seeking an experienced Supplier Management Development Lead to play a key role in shaping and delivering Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) strategy across a large, complex portfolio.

This is a senior leadership opportunity where you will drive supplier performance, strengthen commercial capability, and build strategic partnerships that deliver long-term value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) strategy and implementation across key suppliers
  • Build and manage senior stakeholder relationships across industry and internal teams
  • Drive supplier performance, cost efficiency, and service improvement initiatives
  • Identify risks within the supply chain and implement mitigation strategies
  • Promote commercial best practice across the full procurement life cycle
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing commercial/SRM team
  • Provide market insight and supply chain intelligence to inform strategic decisions
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual, and government policy requirements
  • Represent the organisation at industry forums and supplier engagements

What We're Looking For

  • Strong background in Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) or commercial contract management
  • Experience working with strategic suppliers in complex environments
  • Proven ability to lead teams and influence senior stakeholders
  • Strong commercial awareness, including value for money and cost optimisation
  • Experience managing supply chain risk, resilience, and performance
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels

Desirable

  • Public sector or defence experience
  • Knowledge of government commercial frameworks/policies
  • Experience delivering savings pipelines and procurement strategies
  • Exposure to infrastructure, estates, or large-scale service environments
