System Engineer

Rate - £40 an hour

Duration - 12 months initially

Location - Grangemouth

Ir35 - Inside (Must use an umbrella company)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join a leading organisation based in Grangemouth. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Information Systems and Manufacturing Execution Systems. The role involves working with a range of systems and coding languages to integrate and streamline production processes from top to bottom.

• Deliver a key automation service to multiple business units.
• Utilise in-depth knowledge of SQL Server to design and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Develop custom applications using C#, HTML and Java to extend the functionality of manufacturing execution systems.
• Design and implement user-friendly web interfaces and dashboards for monitoring and controlling manufacturing processes.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users on system functionalities and best practices.
• Follow safe systems of work for all daily activities, maintaining the highest HSEQ standards.

• In-depth knowledge and experience with SQL Server, including database design, query optimisation, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of C# and HTML for developing custom applications and web interfaces, with a strong understanding of web design principles and user experience best practices (advantageous).
• Knowledge of AVEVA System Platform or similar products (advantageous).
• Experience using AI tools to assist with code development (advantageous but not essential).
