Job Title: Tax Analyst (Temporary-to-Hire)
Pay Range: $31.25 - $36.75
Location: Pasadena, CA
Overview:A consulting firm in Pasadena is seeking a detail-oriented Property Tax Analyst for a temporary-to-hire opportunity. This role will support multi-state tax compliance efforts, focusing on property tax, business licenses, and gross receipts filings. The ideal candidate brings a strong accounting or tax background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file property tax returns, business license filings, and gross receipts taxes across multiple jurisdictions
- Track compliance deadlines using tax calendars and ensure timely submissions and payments
- Extract and analyze financial data for tax reporting and workpapers
- Maintain and update tax databases and supporting documentation
- Research tax regulations to identify exemptions, reductions, and compliance requirements
- Support audits, appeals, and special tax projects as needed
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience in property tax compliance or strong accounting background
- Knowledge of business license and gross receipts tax filings preferred
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with tax software or ERP systems (Oracle a plus)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment
Pay Details: $31.25 to $36.75 per hour
