Methods is seeking an experienced Technical Architect to join a major Defence programme, leading the architecture and delivery of complex data migration activities within a highly secure environment.
You'll play a key role in designing migration strategies, ensuring secure movement of critical data, and providing architectural leadership across multiple technical teams. The role also requires a strong understanding of security assurance and the application of the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) within Defence programmes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture and design of complex data migration solutions.
- Develop migration strategies, target architectures and transition roadmaps.
- Produce High Level Designs (HLDs) and supporting architecture documentation.
- Ensure solutions align with NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) principles and Defence security requirements.
- Work closely with engineering, infrastructure, cyber security and programme teams throughout delivery.
- Provide technical leadership and governance across the migration life cycle.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies and mitigation strategies.
- Engage confidently with senior technical and programme stakeholders.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Extensive experience as a Technical or Solution Architect on complex data migration programmes.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture and migration planning.
- Experience applying the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) within secure environments.
- Previous experience delivering projects within the UK Defence sector.
- Excellent documentation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work across multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Active DV Clearance (essential).

- £600 per day (Inside IR35)
- Initial 6-month contract
- 3 days per week onsite in London or Manchester
- Immediate start preferred
