Technical Delivery Lead - Google Cloud Platform/Vertex AI

Hays have partnered exclusively with a leading telecoms provider to appoint an experienced Technical Delivery Lead to a complex Google Cloud Platform buildout via Vertex AI. They're well and truly at the delivery stage of this project right now, with a vendor chosen and ready to commence their work. If you're an experienced technical delivery professional, with demonstrated success implementing/building out Google Cloud Platform (Vertex AI preferable) and a background in telecoms or similar environments, then we want to hear from you.

Role: Technical Delivery Lead
Location: London, Shoreditch
Length: 3 months + extensions (likely to go on for much longer)
Hybrid: Yes (1-2 days in office)
Rate: £550 - £600/day via Umbrella

Your new role and what you'll need to succeed
As the Technical Delivery Lead, you will be responsible for (and bring previous experience in):

• Act as the primary point of contact for our external development vendor, ensuring work is delivered to scope, on time, and to the expected quality standards.
• Coordinate the creation and configuration of new GCP environments tailored for Vertex AI and related services.
• Work closely with internal infrastructure, security, and wider technology teams to ensure all platform development aligns with organisational standards, policies, and architecture.
• Drive the smooth integration of developed components into our environment, proactively identifying risks, resolving blockers, and ensuring all dependencies are managed.
• Manage project plans, milestones, RAID logs, communication updates, and stakeholder expectations to keep delivery on track.
• Experience in Google Cloud Platform is essential, while Vertex AI and Azure will be highly regarded.
