We're recruiting for an experienced Technical Lead to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale cloud-native applications using Golang, Microservices Architecture, and Azure Cloud technologies for a leading organisation. The role requires hands-on technical leadership, architecture governance, and mentoring capabilities to drive high-quality software delivery while ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and operational excellence across multiple Agile teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale applications across Agile teams
• Provide technical leadership, architectural direction, and engineering best practices to development teams
• Design and develop high-performance applications using Golang and cloud-native technologies
• Build scalable, secure, and resilient microservices-based solutions
• Conduct architecture reviews, design assessments, and code quality reviews
• Define solution designs, technical standards, and implementation approaches
• Implement distributed system patterns and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles
• Design and optimise data solutions leveraging Document Databases and NoSQL technologies
• Collaborate with architects, product teams, and stakeholders to deliver business-aligned solutions
• Mentor engineers and drive continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence

What You Will Ideally Bring

• Strong hands-on experience in Golang application development
• Extensive experience designing and implementing Microservices Architecture
• Strong understanding of Distributed Systems and Cloud-Native Development principles
• Experience designing scalable, highly available, and resilient applications
• Expertise in REST API design and enterprise integration patterns
• Knowledge of Azure cloud services and container-based deployment platforms
• Experience with Document Databases, NoSQL technologies, and data modelling
• Proven experience leading Agile engineering teams and technical delivery initiatives
• Strong solution design, architecture governance, and technical decision-making capabilities
• Excellent stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Kubernetes (AKS) and container orchestration experience (desirable)
• Event-Driven Architecture and messaging platforms experience (desirable)

Contract Details

• Duration: Initial 12 months
• Location: 3 days onsite in London
• Rate: £550/day (inside)
