Temporary Fund Accountant

Temporary Fund Accountant London Rolling temporary contract £200 - £250 per day This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing venture capital firm based in Central London. The company is looking to hire a Fund Accountant who is available to start as soon as possible. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic world of venture capital, and the chance to work in a collaborative and supportive environment.WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Maintain the general ledger and prepare periodic financial statements for venture capital funds
• Develop and manage budgeting and forecasting processes to support financial planning
• Assist in capital call and distribution processes, including investor allocations and notices
• Reconcile bank accounts, investment activity, and fund expenses.
• Prepare quarterly and annual investor reports, including waterfall calculations and performance metrics
• Support audit and tax preparation processes by coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors
• Ensure compliance with fund agreements, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements, including preparing FCA returns
• Track portfolio company valuations and updating internal systems accordingly
• Collaborate with the investment team to understand deal structures and fund flows
• Assist in on-boarding new funds and investors, including setting up accounting systems and processes

WHAT YOU WILL HAVE/BE:

• Qualified Accountant ( ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or actively studying towards completion.
• Prior experience in fund accounting, audit or fund administration
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Xero
