Test Automation Engineer - Leeds/Hybrid - Selenium, Karate, CI/CD, Azure

TrinIT Talent are looking for an experienced Test Automation Engineer to come on board for an initial 6 month contract based in Leeds (50% onsite, 50% remote). This role falls Inside IR35, is paying £400 per day, and requires current and active SC Clearance.

Job Description:-

You will be joining a collaborative Agile delivery team, responsible for designing, developing and maintaining automated testing solutions across a range of enterprise applications. Working closely with developers, Business Analysts and other stakeholders, you will help ensure high-quality software delivery by building robust automation frameworks, integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, and driving continuous improvement across the testing function.

You will also play a key role in troubleshooting automation issues, enhancing existing frameworks, and contributing to the wider test automation strategy.

Key Skills:-

  • MUST HOLD CURRENT AND ACTIVE SC CLEARANCE
  • Strong commercial experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium, Karate, SOAPUI and/or Postman.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Experience with Scripting languages such as Python or Java.
  • Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Experience using Cucumber BDD.
  • Knowledge of Azure cloud environments.
  • Experience working with Test Data Management tools.
  • Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.

Desirable Skills:-

  • Experience with Kafka, IBM MQ or ACE.
  • Knowledge of HTML, XBRL or wider software architecture concepts.
