Trainee Data Officer
Like systems, structure and clean data? Want a school-based role where accuracy matters and progression is clear?
You will support the school's data and admin function, ensuring records stay accurate and up to date. Your day will focus on entering and maintaining pupil data, updating attendance and behaviour logs, and supporting admissions and leavers processes. You will help prepare reports for staff and senior leaders, format documents for meetings, and keep digital files organised for audits. You will work closely with the Data Manager and school office, responding to queries, meeting deadlines tied to the data calendar, and following GDPR and safeguarding procedures at all times. This is a hands-on role designed to build strong foundations in school data before moving into a permanent post.
The Candidate & RequirementsYou are organised, detail-focused and comfortable working with systems. You pick things up quickly and take pride in getting information right first time.
This 'Good' Central Birmingham secondary school has clear systems and well-established office routines. Data tasks follow a structured calendar, with templates and guidance in place to support accuracy and consistency. The school values development and will provide training on internal systems, regular check-ins, and a clear transition plan into the permanent role once probation targets are met.
