Location DescriptionMichael Foods, Inc. located in Gaylord, Minnesota is Minnesota's Healthy Heartland! Gaylord is located in south central Minnesota about an hour west of the Twin Cities and 35 minutes from Mankato, Hutchinson, and New Ulm. As the County Seat, Gaylord is the "Hub of Sibley County." Our location produces liquid egg, hardcook egg, and precooked egg such as scrambled, patties and omelets.
Job ResponsibilitiesThe purpose of this position is to two fold; be the training administrator and keep documentation of training programs delivered in MFI facilities while collaborating with production management, human resources and safety to continuously improve on-site learning and development for production hourly employees, ensuring compliance; and to support Supervisors in the developing of the skills and competencies of their teams through on-the-job training, skills evaluation and development programs. This position will assist with the coordination and documentation of training programs delivered in MFI facilities while collaborating with production management, human resources and safety to continuously improve on-site learning and development for production hourly employees.
This position has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability.
Job responsibilities include:
Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsJob qualifications include:
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
Experience: Extensive work experience and knowledge of all equipment in the area of support including best operating practices, principles of operation, operational parameters, fault finding and corrective action on equipment and systems.
Communication Skills: In order to promote a manufacturing environment that is safe and efficient for both personnel and food, the ability to effectively communicate in basic English (both verbal and written) is required. This includes the ability to speak, read and comprehend safety instructions, rules and warnings for self and others in both normal and emergency situations.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and in group situations. Ability to respond to questions from internal/external customers/vendors at all levels including management.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form.

The pay range for this position is $23.31 - $33.80 per hour.
