Our client, a global energy technology and industrial manufacturing leader, is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer - Supplier Production Systems to join their team. As a Senior Industrial Engineer, you will be part of the Strategic Procurement / Supplier Development department supporting Global Procurement, Engineering, and Operations teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical thinking, stakeholder influence, and problem-solving skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Senior Industrial Engineer - Supplier Production Systems
Location: Houston, TX / Orlando, FL / Charlotte, NC (Onsite)
Pay Range: $68 - $73 per hour

What's the Job?

  • Diagnose supplier production constraints and drive improvements in capacity, flow, and stability
  • Lead initiatives such as bottleneck analysis, lead-time reduction, and KPI system implementation
  • Partner cross-functionally to translate business priorities into supplier development actions
  • Support and coach suppliers to enhance manufacturing capability and operational performance
  • Develop and scale standardized tools, playbooks, and best practices across global teams
What's Needed?
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Production Engineering
  • Experience improving production systems in complex manufacturing environments
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, capacity planning, and process optimization
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and work across matrix/global organizations
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 40%

Must Have

  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing / production environments (not purely theoretical)
  • Proven track record driving Lean / Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Experience with capacity analysis, bottleneck identification, or throughput optimization
  • Strong data-driven mindset (KPIs, performance metrics, operational analysis)
  • Exposure to working with suppliers, vendors, or external manufacturing partners
