On behalf of the Met Office, we are looking for a User Researcher Inside IR35 for a 11 months contract based Hybrid Exeter.

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active SC clearance.

As a User Researcher, your main responsibilities will be:

Essential:
. Lead and conduct user research activities independently within agile, multidisciplinary teams.
. Generate insights that shape and improve data delivery products and services through robust user-centred research methods.
. Analyse and synthesise research findings using a wide range of methodologies to produce clear, evidence-based recommendations.
. Present user insights to stakeholders to support alignment, informed decision-making and continuous service improvement.
. Champion inclusive, user-centred practices across teams and the wider organisation, involving colleagues in research to deepen user understanding.
. Manage research operations, including participant recruitment, scheduling and ensuring high standards of research leadership and assurance.
