Location: San Bruno, hybrid (Tues-Thurs in the office; Monday & Friday Remote)Job Type: 6 month assignment with potential for extensionCompensation Range: $115 - 125 per hourOur tech client in San Bruno wants a UX Program Manager, to join their team for a 6 month contract due to growing business. As a Program Manager, you will help create and launch a new visual design system scheduled for rollout. In this role, you will bridge the gap between design vision, engineering execution, and next-generation AI tooling. You will be responsible for orchestrating design system adoption across diverse product teams, managing a rigorous multi-platform launch cadence, and pioneering how our design systems are consumed by both humans and Large Language Models (LLMs).The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, balances high-level strategic thinking with meticulous execution, and has a proven track record of managing large-scale digital design systems at major tech or large-scale media companies. Responsibilities:1. Design System Management & DeliveryScale the System: Oversee and evolve a massive digital design system spanning interface design, mobile app design, websites, and overall product UX.Drive Adoption: Champion and enforce consistent adoption of the design system across cross-functional teams currently at varying stages of implementation.Manage Launch Cadence: Operate effectively within a rapid launch delivery cadence, successfully managing and tracking comprehensive design drops every 6 to 8 weeks.2. Engineering & AI IntegrationCross-Functional Bridge: Interface directly with engineering teams to ensure the seamless creation, maintenance, and deployment of components across Android, iOS, and Web platforms.Human-to-AI Translation: Pioneer the intersection of human and AI system guidance. You will translate complex system rules into a single, structured file optimized for LLM readability, ensuring deliverables are perfectly tailored for both human designers and AI consumption.
