Our client is looking for an experienced Web Applications Support Engineer to join them on a contract basis. You'll play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving critical web applications, ensuring high availability and performance for end users.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1st/2nd line support for web-based applications
• Investigate and resolve incidents, bugs, and performance issues
• Work closely with technical teams to diagnose and fix defects
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventative measures
• Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and fixes

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with JavaScript in a production environment
• Basic knowledge of SQL (query writing, performance tuning, troubleshooting)
• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux systems (Shell Scripting, log analysis, system commands)
• Experience supporting web applications in a live environment
• Familiarity with debugging tools and monitoring systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong analytical mindset with a proactive approach
