Workday Functional Consultant (Freelance)

UK | Remote | Contract | Outside IR35 (where applicable)

We're supporting a major transformation programme and are looking for an experienced Workday Functional Consultant to join on a freelance basis.

This is an opportunity to work within a fast-paced Workday environment, supporting configuration, optimisation, and delivery across key modules within Workday .

If you're a hands-on consultant who can operate autonomously, engage confidently with stakeholders, and deliver high-quality configuration - we'd love to connect.

The Opportunity

You'll play a key role in:

• Workday configuration across HCM modules

• Supporting functional design workshops

• Translating business requirements into scalable solutions

• Business process framework configuration

• Security and reporting setup

• Supporting integrations and testing phases

• Advising on Workday best practice

Projects may include:

• Core HCM

• Time Tracking & Absence

• Recruiting

• Payroll integrations (if in scope)

• Optimisation or stabilisation work

What We're Looking For

• Strong hands-on Workday functional configuration experience

• Experience delivering end-to-end Workday implementations or enhancements

• Confident stakeholder engagement skills

• Experience working in transformation or programme environments

• Ability to work independently in a contractor capacity

Certifications are beneficial but not essential.

Contract Details

• Contract/Freelance engagement

• Outside IR35 preferred (where applicable)

• Remote-first (occasional travel may be required depending on project)

• Competitive day rate based on experience
