Role details:
Our client, a prominent organisation within the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Workplace Insights Analyst to join their team on a contract basis in Stevenage. The role involves working closely with Facilities Management teams to transform workplace, operational and system data into actionable insights that drive continuous improvement and enhance overall performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Workplace Insight & Analytics

  • Analyse workplace, operational and system data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Transform complex datasets into clear, meaningful insights
  • Develop dashboards and visualisations to support operational and strategic decision-making
  • Monitor KPIs and workplace performance measures

Continuous Improvement

  • Work with the System team to identify recurring themes and root causes
  • Provide evidence to support improvement opportunities
  • Measure the effectiveness of workplace improvements
  • Support benefits realisation activities

Systems & Data

  • Ensure the quality and integrity of workplace data
  • Collaborate with Systems colleagues to improve data capture
  • Develop reporting capabilities across FM Systems
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Translate technical information into business insights
  • Present findings to operational and senior FM leadership
  • Support evidence-based decision-making
  • Collaborate across Operations, Projects, Strategy, Property, and Finance teams

Performance & Reporting

  • Maintain FM dashboards
  • Produce regular performance reports
  • Develop new KPIs
  • Benchmark workplace performance where appropriate


What we are looking for:

  • Experience in analysing complex datasets
  • Proficiency in PowerBI
  • Advanced skills in Excel
  • Strong data visualisation abilities
  • Experience in data quality management
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Aptitude for identifying trends and patterns
  • Experience in root cause analysis
  • Ability to turn data into meaningful recommendations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to explain technical information simply
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement
  • Strong presentation skills


Desirable skills:

  • Experience in Facilities Management
  • Experience with IWMS (Planon desirable)
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Experience in workplace analytics
  • Understanding of Lean/Continuous Improvement methodologies
