Position: Billing Specialist
Location: Houston, TX
Pay: $23 -$25 Hourly

We are seeking a skilled and organized Billing Specialist to oversee the preparation and distribution of invoices and ensure accurate and timely billing of customers to include portal billing. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of billing procedures and accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
* Generate and issue accurate invoices in a timely manner based on client
contracts, purchase orders, or service agreements.
* Verify billing data to ensure accuracy, including rates, quantities, taxes,
and customer details.
* Resolve any billing discrepancies or errors by working closely with internal
teams and customers.
* Maintain and update customer accounts, including tracking outstanding
balances and payments.
* Process adjustments, credits, and rebills when necessary.
* Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices and provide timely
resolution.
* Assist in reconciling billing records with general ledger accounts.
* Support monthly and quarterly closing processes.
* Maintain organized billing files and documentation for audit and reference
purposes.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Requirements:
* ERP experience
* Intermediate Excel skills
Preferred Skills:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Epicor would be a plus
