Data Center Migration Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Migration Project Manager to lead complex migration projects from planning to execution. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale data center relocations, consolidations, or cloud transitions. This role demands exceptional organizational skills, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver seamless migrations with minimal downtime. Migration Project Manager Responsibilities: - Develop detailed project plans outlining timelines, budgets, resource needs, and risk management strategies- Oversee the end-to-end data center migration process, including infrastructure design, testing, and implementation- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria- Act as the primary liaison between technical teams, vendors, and business units- Identify potential risks associated with the migration and develop robust mitigation plans- Ensure business continuity by planning for contingency scenarios- Provide guidance on technical aspects of the migration, including network, storage, and server configurations- Ensure compatibility and performance optimization of hardware and software post-migration- Lead cross-functional teams, including network engineers, systems administrators, application owners, and external vendors- Facilitate effective communication to ensure project milestones are met on schedule- Ensure all migrations adhere to security standards and regulatory compliance requirements- Monitor data integrity and protection during the migration process- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including migration plans, risk assessments, and post-migration evaluations- Provide regular status reports to leadership and stakeholders Migration Project Manager Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field- 5+ years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on data center migrations- Proven experience in managing large-scale, high-stakes migration projects- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification- ITIL certification- Strong understanding of data center technologies, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization- Familiarity with cloud platforms and hybrid infrastructure environments- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively If you are interested in this Migration Project Manager opportunity and qualify per the above requirements, please apply today!
