Senior Accountant (Hybrid)

Salary Range: $42-44/hr
Addison Group's client is searching for a temporary Senior Accountant. This role is hybrid (3x per week) in Tysons Corner, VA paying $42-44/hr. A candidate must have experience in the government contracting space. Apply here to learn more!
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Analyze financial results and provide insights to management
- Oversee general ledger activity and ensure the integrity of financial data
- Maintain and reconcile complex balance sheet accounts
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Mentor junior accounting staff and support their professional development
- Participate in system improvements, automation projects, and ERP upgrades
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s or CPA preferred)
- 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including GL and financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal control frameworks
