🌐 Cloud Security Engineer - Madrid | Freelance

🚀 About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join our dynamic team under a service contract. This role offers the opportunity to work on cloud infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on Vulnerability and Patch Management in hybrid environments (on-prem & cloud).

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

Lead patch management, vulnerability management, and security hardening across:
- Hypervisors: VMWare, Nutanix
- Operating Systems: Windows, Linux
- Databases: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL
- Cloud: AWS
Analyze and prioritize vulnerabilities using Wiz and Nessus (Tenable).
Design and implement automated patching and remediation processes using:
- Altiris, SUSE Manager (SUMA), Ansible, and custom scripting (OS, DB, Cloud, Hypervisor)
Apply AWS security hardening best practices and integrate them into deployment pipelines.
Ensure zero business disruption during patching and deployment activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain compliance and security standards.

✅ What We're Looking For:

Proven experience with AWS and Terraform.
Strong background in vulnerability management, patch automation, and cloud security.
Hands-on experience with:
- Altiris, SUSE Manager (SUMA)
- Nessus (Tenable) or Wiz
- Ansible, Shell/Python scripting
Familiarity with hybrid environments and secure deployment practices.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

💡 Nice to Have:

Cloud or security certifications (e.g., AWS Security Specialty, Terraform Associate).
Experience in regulated or high-security environments.
Familiarity with CI/CD and infrastructure automation tools.

📍 Location: Spain, Remote 100%, punctual visits to Madrid desired
