🛡️ Vulnerability Management Specialist - Madrid | Freelance

🧩 Role Context

We are seeking a technically hands-on professional, focused on execution and remediation, to lead the implementation of vulnerability management cycles, coordinate with stakeholders, and collaborate with an MSP (Managed Service Provider) to ensure effective patching and hardening across systems.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

Execute vulnerability remediation across Windows, Linux, databases, and AWS environments.
Implement and maintain vulnerability management cycles: identification, prioritization, planning, and remediation.
Coordinate with the MSP to ensure timely patching and compliance with SLAs.
Analyze vulnerability scan reports from Nessus (Tenable) and Wiz to prioritize remediation efforts.
Automate patching and hardening processes using tools like Altiris, SUSE Manager (SUMA), Ansible, and scripting.
Ensure deployments are carried out without business disruption.
Manage relationships with technical and business stakeholders.

🛠️ Technical Requirements

Proven experience in patch and vulnerability management across:
- Operating Systems: Windows, Linux
- Databases: Oracle, SQL, PostgreSQL
- Hypervisors: VMware, Nutanix
- Cloud: AWS
Proficiency with vulnerability scanning tools: Nessus (Tenable), Wiz
Experience with automation and deployment tools: Altiris, SUMA, Ansible, scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python)
Ability to work in complex environments and coordinate across multiple teams.
