Job Title: Senior Data Architect

Location: Remote (U.S. Based Only)

Compensation: $70 - $80 per hour

Security Requirement: Must have lived in the U.S. for 3 of the past 5 years (Public Trust eligibility)

Must Have: Working experience with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)

Overview:

A leading federal consulting firm is seeking a Senior Data Architect to support a newly awarded health data modernization initiative. This role is ideal for someone with deep CMS experience who can bridge policy, data architecture, and strategic planning to help drive transformation across Medicare and Medicaid systems.

- Key Responsibilities:

- Lead strategic discussions with stakeholders across CMS and external partners

- Evaluate and assess data platforms, warehouses, and infrastructure for improvement opportunities

- Develop and maintain an enterprise-level CMS data inventory and architecture model

- Build persuasive, data-driven business cases for modernization and unification initiatives

- Guide teams through CMS policy, regulatory, and compliance landscapes

- Analyze CMS systems including paycodes, CCW, FSS, Datalink, and credentialing data

- Recommend innovative uses of CMS data, automated payment models, and integration strategies

Must-Have Qualifications:

- 10+ years of experience in healthcare data analysis or CMS policy work

- 2–3 years of recent CMS experience at a senior level (or 3–4 years at mid-level)

- Strong understanding of CMS data sources, systems, and warehouses

- Experience working with claims, credentialing, and provider data

- Hands-on experience with enterprise data modeling and platform architecture

- Proficiency in BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or MicroStrategy

- Strong communication, abstract thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills

- Must reside in the U.S. and meet Public Trust clearance requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Public Policy, Data Science, or related field

- Experience working directly with or in support of CMS initiatives
