Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location: Schaumburg, Illinois

Assignment Type: 3- month contract with potential for contract-to-hire

Compensation: $25- $27/hour depending on relevant experience

Benefits:This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Job Responsibilities:

Generate accurate and timely customer invoices based on production output, delivery schedules, and purchase orders.
Monitor and manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including collections, cash application, and reconciliations.
Collaborate with production, shipping, and sales teams to ensure billing reflects actual shipments and customer agreements.
Review and verify billing data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with customer contracts and manufacturing lead times.
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, short payments, chargebacks, and deductions.
Apply customer payments (ACH, wire, check, and credit card) and ensure proper posting to the general ledger within ERP systems.
Prepare and send out customer account statements and past-due notices.
Maintain detailed records of billing adjustments, credit memos, and customer communications.
Assist in month-end close activities, including AR aging reports and bad debt analysis.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
ERP/accounting systems (such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) to manage billing and receivables functions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
