Senior Operations Manager

One of our government clients is looking for an experienced Senior Operations Manager to join them for a 6 month contract. They are offering £640 per day OUTSIDE IR35.

Our client is based near Milton Keynes - commutable from Northampton, East Midlands, Bedford, Luton or Central London. They require 3 days onsite working per week.

This role is working in a Security Cleared environment. You will need to be SC or DV (developed vetting) cleared or eligible to undertake SC or DV Security Clearance.

This role provides short-term, strategic-level support to enhance awareness of the broader team's vision and priorities within the organisation.

Responsibilities:

Diagnostic report with findings and recommendations
Implementation roadmap, milestones and plan with prioritised actions.
Execution of the implementation plan - WFM, KPIs, Data/reporting/Risk and issue management
Templates or tools for workforce planning, KPI tracking, and risk management.
Knowledge transfer and training for internal teams

Skills and Experience Required:

Proven experience in strategic leadership roles within public service or similar sectors.
Proven experience in operational improvement within data-intensive or regulated environments
A strong understanding of organisational strategy, governance, and service delivery.
Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to think systemically and translate strategic vision into actionable plans.
Proven experience managing change in organisation
Experience of delivering of managing dependencies of varying complexity, potentially planning and feeding into overall strategy and service
