Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Reporting Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, and reporting using Tableau and Power BI. As a Senior Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining complex reports and dashboards that help stakeholders across the organization make data-driven decisions, especially as it pertains to Jira. Key Responsibilities: 1. Report and Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau Power BI, providing actionable insights to business stakeholders. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into clear, visual, and insightful reports. Leverage advanced features of Tableau/Power BI (e.g., calculated fields, parameters, filters) to deliver reports and dashboards that support key business functions. 2. Data Integration and Modeling: Collaborate with the data engineering team to ensure smooth integration of data sources into Tableau and Power BI. Build and maintain data models in Power BI or Tableau, ensuring that the data is structured appropriately for reporting and analytics. Create data pipelines and automated workflows to refresh reports and ensure that business leaders have access to the most up-to-date information. 3. Data Analysis: Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement. Perform ad hoc analysis as requested by stakeholders and provide actionable recommendations. Use statistical methods to interpret data, identify significant patterns, and present findings to non-technical audiences. 4. Stakeholder Engagement and Support: Work closely with business users to gather reporting requirements, understand business goals, and create customized reporting solutions. Provide training and support to users on how to use Tableau/Power BI dashboards and reports effectively. Assist stakeholders in interpreting and understanding data, answering questions, and troubleshooting issues with reports or dashboards. 5. Performance and Optimization: Monitor the performance of Tableau and Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring they load quickly and efficiently for end-users. Optimize queries and data models to improve report performance, particularly as the scale of the data grows. Identify opportunities to streamline data sources and automate processes to reduce manual intervention. 6. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest features and best practices in Tableau, Power BI, and data visualization. Contribute to the ongoing improvement of data reporting processes and tools. Lead or participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and provide mentorship to junior analysts. Basic Qualification: Experience: 5-10 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence, with hands-on experience in building and maintaining reports and dashboards using Tableau and Power BI. Tools & Technologies: Expert-level proficiency in Tableau and or Power BI (both Desktop and Server/Online). Experience with SQL for querying databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift). Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Snowflake). Familiarity with Jira Data Analysis & Visualization: Strong ability to analyze large datasets and create meaningful, visually appealing reports and dashboards that help drive business decisions. Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking: Ability to troubleshoot complex reporting issues and offer effective solutions. Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate business needs into data-driven insights. Collaboration & Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in report creation and data interpretation. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes. Knowledge of Python, R, or other statistical programming languages. Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies. Background in working with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements and deliver solutions.
