Our client, a major bank in New York City, is looking for Business Analyst with Equity Derivatives / Commodities lines of business. This role is hybrid commute (3/4 days in NYC Office per week). This is 6 months contract with possible extensions or option to hire. Rate: $90-97/h on W2 DOE, possible C2C as well. Business Analyst with Equities Derivatives / Commodities Job Summary: This is a mid-level engineer position supporting an Equity Derivatives & Commodities Futures Trading desk. The candidate must have experience in Equity Derivatives and/or Commodities and is willing to provide support to traders. It would be a plus if the candidate has experience with the Murex/Calypso or equivalent trading system. Major Responsibilities: - Day-to-Day trade support for the Equities Derivatives/Commodities trading desk, closely interacting with traders executing and risk managing complex derivative products. - Troubleshooting support issues and provide highly active support in the resolution of problems for the trading desk, manage communications to the desk regarding platform issues and resolutions. - Ensuring accurate trade capture, event processing, representation of positions, PL & risk exposures in risk management systems. - Liaising with global Tech and Ops counterparts on a variety of strategic initiatives - representing the business interests by providing expertise across products & systems, testing new technology rollouts, and driving enhancements to existing systems and processes - Performing reconciliation processes across systems to help system upgrades and maintain various systems connectivity to ensure smooth trading desk activities. - Learn and adapt quickly to the fast-changing desk operations. E.g., New products implementation - Technical documentation of system requirements/solutions and maintaining support run book for Production issues. Required Qualifications: - Academic background in a STEM discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Financial Engineering - Analytical background including an understanding of applied Math, Probability and Statistics. - At least 2-4 years of experience with developing solutions for Equity Derivatives/Commodities lines of business (i.e., Futures, Total return swaps, Vanilla options, Exotic options, Equity swaps, etc.). Prior experience must include experience with: Utilizing risk management systems to identify and resolve booking errors and technology issues pertaining to trade bookings and subsequent front-to-back flows. - A thorough understanding of market data conventions and ability to understand the interpret market data provider specifications. - Ability to multitask several ongoing issues. This involves the ability to assess priority and make appropriate decisions quickly and effectively. - Experience working on a trading floor supporting mission critical applications. - Experience working with Job scheduling applications. - Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences. - Fundamental understanding of database modeling and ETL type applications - Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills. - Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. - Strong analytical skills to understand a broad set of sophisticated cross-asset products and complex end-to-end workflows. - Geared towards process improvement, system enhancement and automation. - Unix/Linux knowledge - Advanced Excel skills is preferred but not required. - Knowledge of JIRA for issue and project tracking Nice to have Qualifications: - College degree required. - Murex/Calypso or equivalent experience - Database & SQL experience Targeted systems: - Murex/Calypso - Bloomberg Please email your resume orUse this link to apply directly: Or email: Check ALL our Jobs:
