Job DescriptionAt World View we are looking to add an Aerospace and Defense Buyer to our Supply Chain team. You will be working on procurement, supplier management, contracts, and negotiations in a fast-paced cross-functional environment. You will play a key role in supporting our efforts as we expand our Remote Sensing initiatives. Please note this is a temporary 3-6 month contract role and not a direct-hire opportunity, with potential for full-time conversion based on business needs and performance. Role Responsibilities

• Purchasing raw materials, parts, assemblies, equipment, supplies, and services at the most favorable price consistent with quality, quantity, delivery, and other factors.
• Follow-up with suppliers. Acts as intermediary between vendors and internal customers to resolve fabrication, cost, and schedule issues, to satisfy customers.
• Places purchase orders in MRP for production, non-production, and service items with approved suppliers
• Issues requests for quotations to suppliers on new parts and established parts to get competitive bids and updated pricing and delivery schedules
• Reviews open order status, incorporating changes (expediting, reducing, increasing, canceling) as they occur
• Track multiple procurements by supplier and manage supplier improvement.
• Works with the receiving department and quality assurance department to resolve PO's on suspense for documentation and quality discrepancies
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Procurement experience.
• 3+ years relevant experience in Supply Chain or Procurement Role (military specifications, off the shelf, make to print)
• General knowledge of FAR/DFARS Government Procurement regulation
• Ability work in cross functional settings with Engineering, Planning, Programs, and Quality.
• Knowledge of FAA Requirements
