Contract: Data Architect - Hybrid in London - Initial 6 months

Role Overview
In this role, you will design and deliver enterprise data architectures and data models that support analytics, reporting, and business-critical data products. Working closely with Product Owners, Architects, and Engineering teams, you will define scalable data solutions, establish modelling standards, and ensure data platforms align with business and technical objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise data architecture and data models supporting analytics and reporting platforms.
• Develop and enhance logical and physical data models using methodologies including 3NF, Dimensional Modelling, and Data Vault.
• Assess new business requirements and define appropriate data architecture solutions.
• Establish modelling standards, governance, and best practices across delivery teams.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Analysts to deliver scalable data solutions.
• Maintain architecture documentation and ensure alignment with enterprise data strategy.
• Drive continuous improvement across data architecture, modelling, and cloud-based data platforms.

Skills & Experience

• Strong experience as a Data Architect or Senior Data Modeller within enterprise environments.
• Expertise in Data Warehousing, end-to-end analytics architecture, and enterprise data modelling.
• Strong knowledge of 3NF, Dimensional Modelling, and Data Vault methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, and Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
• Experience supporting cloud migrations and modern data platform implementations.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Exposure to AI/ML, Generative AI, or Power BI/MicroStrategy is beneficial.

• Duration: Initial 6 months
• Location: 2 days onsite in London
• Rate: £500/day (inside)
