Desktop Support Technician Greenbrier (AR)

We're looking for a Desktop Support Technician Backfill to join our IT team. You'll be the go-to person for helping users with their computers, laptops, and mobile devices, fixing hardware and software issues, and keeping everything running smoothly. If you enjoy solving tech problems, working with different systems, and helping people get back on track quickly, this is a great role for you. Requirement: the person needs to take up online MSHA training post onboarding. Which will be paid Minimum PPE Requirements (Production/Operational Areas) Safety Helmet: Approved industrial helmet; wear and store correctly to avoid damage or defects. High-Visibility Clothing: Fluorescent yellow/orange upper-body clothing with reflective bands; flame-retardant where required. High-vis trousers recommended. Gloves: Must be worn at all times, with limited exceptions (e.g., driving, touch-sensitive tasks). Use task-appropriate gloves (chemical, cut-resistant, manual work). Eye Protection: Required at all times; choose suitable eyewear for task (e.g., safety glasses, welding protection, prescription safety glasses if needed). Laced-Up Ankle Safety Boots: Must provide ankle support and safety toe caps; may include anti-puncture soles, heat/cold insulation, and waterproofing if required. What You'll Do Help users with desktops, laptops, and mobile devices both hardware and software issues. Work with Windows, macOS, and Linux to keep systems performing well. Use tools like SCCM and Active Directory to manage accounts and deploy software. Troubleshoot network issues (LAN, TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, etc.). Support Windows Server environments and help track requests in BMC Remedy. Handle help desk tickets in ServiceNow and Jira, making sure issues are logged and resolved properly. Keep hardware inventory up to date and do routine maintenance. Support remote access and ensure secure VPN and firewall connections. Collaborate with teammates to quickly diagnose and solve problems.
