IT Field Support Specialist (Operational Focus) We are seeking a proactive IT Field Support Specialist to join our technology team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for end-user computing, maintaining the health of our hardware fleet and resolving complex software hurdles. The Role at a Glance Technical Sovereignty: Take ownership of the full lifecycle of employee devices from initial provisioning to advanced hardware repair. Infrastructure Bridge: Act as the hands-on extension of our network and server teams, ensuring site-wide connectivity and security. Operational Readiness: Following onboarding, you will complete paid MSHA certification to ensure you are fully prepared for our industrial workspaces. Core Responsibilities Multi-Platform Support: Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks across Windows, macOS, and Linux ecosystems. Endpoint Management: Utilize SCCM and Active Directory to automate software distribution and manage user permissions. Network Continuity: Troubleshoot local connectivity issues involving TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN tunnels to keep remote and local staff synchronized. Service Excellence: Manage the lifecycle of technical requests via ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy, ensuring no ticket falls through the cracks. System Integrity: Oversee Windows Server health and maintain a rigorous inventory of all physical assets. Safety & Environment Requirements Because this role supports our production and operational zones, adherence to strict safety protocols is non-negotiable. You will be provided with and required to wear the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): personal protective equipment for industrial workers, AI generated Getty Images Explore Head Protection: Industrial-grade safety helmets must be worn and maintained per safety standards. High-Visibility: Fluorescent vests or jackets with reflective stripping are mandatory; flame-retardant gear is required in specific zones. Hand Safety: Task-specific gloves (cut-resistant or chemical-resistant) must be worn at all times, barring specific touch-sensitive technical tasks. Eye Protection: Continuous use of impact-resistant safety glasses or task-specific goggles. Footwear: Sturdy, laced-up ankle boots with safety toes are required to provide maximum support and puncture protection.
