1x Senior DevOps Engineer - £500/day (Inside IR35) - Active SC Clearance required

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Develop, manage, and optimise CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable software delivery.
• Deploy and manage containerised applications using Kubernetes.
• Support and administer Kafka messaging platforms, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Monitor production environments, troubleshoot incidents, and implement proactive improvements.
• Collaborate closely with developers, architects, testers, and security teams.
• Implement security best practices across cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Automate operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Participate in sprint planning, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, IAM, VPC, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
• Experience supporting and managing Apache Kafka.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar.
• Strong Scripting skills using Bash or Python.
• Experience with Docker and container technologies.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or CloudWatch.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
