On-Prem IAM Support Engineer (Contract) - On-site (Inverness) - £470/day
A high-impact contract role supporting on-prem Identity & Access Management in an enterprise environment. If you're the person people call when AD/LDAP authentication breaks, access requests pile up, or audit questions land-this is for you.
The role
You'll own day-to-day support and improvement of on-prem IAM services to keep authentication, authorisation, and access controls running securely and reliably.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting and troubleshooting on-prem IAM platforms (eg, Active Directory, LDAP and related services)
- Monitoring performance, diagnosing incidents, and driving fixes to reduce downtime
- Handling user provisioning/de-provisioning, access changes and audits
- Working with security and engineering teams to implement policies and stay compliant
- Producing clear documentation for processes, fixes, and configurations
What we're looking for
- Proven experience supporting on-prem IAM (AD/LDAP/similar)
- Strong knowledge of authentication mechanisms, access management, security protocols
- Confident troubleshooting under pressure in a production environment
- Clear communicator (technical + non-technical stakeholders)
- Security/IAM certifications are a bonus (eg, CISSP/CISA or similar)
