Principal ServiceNow Solution Architect contractor - Telecoms Domain - Reading/London (Hybrid) - Outside IR35 - 3 months
Evolve IT Recruitment is seeking an experienced Principal ServiceNow Solution Architect to join a leading telecoms consulting practice delivering large-scale digital transformation programmes across Tier 1 and Tier 2 customers. This is a highly visible role where you'll act as the technical face of the organisation, leading clients from pre-sales and discovery through to solution delivery and governance.
Working closely with senior stakeholders including CIOs, IT Directors and programme leadership teams, you'll be responsible for defining ServiceNow strategy, architecting complex solutions and ensuring successful delivery across multiple enterprise engagements. This role combines consulting, architecture leadership, stakeholder management and technical oversight.
You will be expected to perform the following duties:
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, guiding ServiceNow-led digital transformation initiatives.
- Lead architecture and discovery workshops to capture business requirements and define target state solutions.
- Own solution design activities from pre-sales through to delivery.
- Support business development activities including proposals, technical demonstrations and client presentations.
- Define technical scope and architecture for large-scale ServiceNow implementations and migration programmes.
- Provide governance and architectural oversight across multiple ServiceNow workstreams.
- Establish platform standards covering integrations, environment management, deployment processes and governance.
- Act as the final escalation point for complex solution and design decisions.
- Mentor delivery teams and provide technical leadership across programmes.
Essential Skills:
- Extensive ServiceNow architecture experience within enterprise-scale environments.
- Deep expertise across ServiceNow domains including TSM, CSM, ITOM and SPM.
- Strong understanding of platform architecture, integrations and governance.
- Proven experience leading large-scale ServiceNow transformation or migration programmes.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience engaging executive-level audiences.
- Previous consulting, advisory or service integration experience.
- Strong telecoms industry experience.
- Certified Technical Architect (CTA) certification.
Desirable Skills:
- CMA Cohort membership.
- Multiple ServiceNow CIS certifications.
- Experience with TM Forum Open APIs and telecom-specific integrations.
- Experience developing ServiceNow accelerators, toolkits or bespoke platform solutions.
- Experience defining enterprise ServiceNow governance frameworks.
- Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on technical expertise
