A leading financial services firm is seeking a hands-on Senior AWS Engineer (Data Platforms) to support an AWS cloud programme.

You'll design and build scalable data pipelines, cloud-native integration services, and event-driven solutions across front and Back Office systems. This role combines Data Engineering, AWS Platform Engineering, and Production Support, with a strong focus on delivery, automation, and knowledge transfer.

* AWS: Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, S3, Athena, RDS, CloudWatch

* Python

* Terraform

* CI/CD (Bitbucket, GitHub Actions, GitLab)

* SQL & Data Modelling

* Event-driven architectures (Kinesis, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ)

* EKS/EC2

* Monitoring, support, and platform optimisation Responsibilities

* Build and maintain AWS data pipelines and integration platforms

* Deliver scalable batch and near Real Time data solutions

* Support production systems and platform reliability

* Drive Infrastructure-as-Code and automation initiatives

* Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams

* Mentor internal engineers and establish sustainable operating models
