On behalf of the NCA we are looking for a Solution Architect (Inside IR35) for a 12 month contract. Hybrid working based in either London, Bristol, Birmingham or Warrington.

As a Solution Architect your main responsibilities will be to:

. Provide and gain approval of all key vision, scope and specification products required to define the outcome-based scope for the Strategic Gateways procurement.
. Support the development of all ITT related (including requirement definition, transition and finance aspects of the ITT etc)
. Provide supporting documentation including creating any collateral required to provide bidders with an understanding of the current operating environment which Strategic Gateways will integrate including any services across all tiers that they are required to consume from other MSPs in order to build and operate the Strategic Gateways Service
. Support the procurement execution period including providing content for the VDR and addressing clarification questions
. Support the creation of the procurement evaluation process end to end including participating in the evaluation bid response reviews and scoring
. Support/manage the implementation phase of the programme leading the solution design and build of the new Strategic Gateway service in line with transition plan, contract requirements and bidders solution response to develop an end to end solution integrate design for approval at the required governance boards.
. Deliver a HLD and LLD, EDA-T and IPS (and others eg other Towers, Suppliers, Town Plan team) in line with technical standards and principles.
. Lead the review of architecture artefacts with Agency stakeholders and progress through governance eg TDA, DDA, AAB
. Support the Service Architect in the definition of the service model.
. Collaborate with the project team to produce governance artefacts to support the SD&T life cycle.
. Support the cross-checking of obligations and requirements to the RTM.
. Act as the SPOC for other technical teams and personnel.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

. An active SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. (Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.)
. Track emerging issues, strategies, roadmaps, patterns and technologies over time to assess opportunities and risks to your work.
. Lead the communication of complicated, complex or risky architecture topics with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
. Understand commercial processes and the appropriate internal contacts within a government department.
. Make and guide architectural design decisions characterised by medium risk and complexity.
. Identify and address architectural risks that affect multiple teams or domains.
. Use architectural governance and assurance to make design decisions and manage technical risks at the appropriate level.
. Produce architectural representations that enable different teams to have a shared understanding of problems throughout the life cycle.
. Support the development of a strategy or vision that aligns with organisational objectives.
. Challenge requirements and assumptions, and identify opportunities to develop strategy.
. Support the implementation of a strategy or vision, for example, by using a roadmap or plan.
. Use architectural principles, patterns, and constraints when appropriate.
. Create technical designs characterised by medium risk, impact, and complexity.
. Maintain appropriate quality and architectural coherence of a technical design in response to change.
