Treasury Finance Assistant - Belfast - Northern Ireland Water
Northern Ireland Water is seeking a Treasury Finance Assistant to support the effective management of treasury activities across the NI Water Group.
Working as part of a specialist team, you'll contribute to cash management, financial controls and treasury operations that help ensure the continued delivery of vital water and wastewater services across Northern Ireland.
About the role:
- £16.50 ph
- Monday to Friday
- 37.5 hours per week
- Westland House, Belfast
- Temporary for 6 months with possible extension

Duties include:
- Responsibility for all aspects of cash and borrowing management for the Group
- The processing, recording and management of all financial transactions relating to bank transactions, borrowing transactions, financing costs, intercompany financing, and some income streams.
- The authorisation of payments to suppliers, employees and other stakeholders including BACS files, online payments and cheques.
- Development of Treasury processes to support the business in achieving customer facing process improvements through the development of customer payment and refund options such as online, card and electronic transactions.
- Development and review of treasury processes to ensure they are fit for purpose, up to date and support the company values.
- Provision of subject matter expertise for processing and accounting for banking, payments and receipt transactions and other Treasury related risk management considerations.
- The above list of duties does not represent an exhaustive list of duties and the Treasury Assistant may be required to assist with other requirements to support the Treasury team in performing their role within the company.
Criteria:
- At least two-years experience of working in a Finance/Accounting environment

OR a HNC/HND/Degree in a Business/Finance related qualification
- Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
- Desirable - Working knowledge of Oracle Financials
