Fort Worth, TX company is seeking an Asset Management Platform Engineer to join their team for a contract opportunity.

Responsible for leveraging cutting edge technology to solve business problems by participating in all phases of the development process from inception through transition, advocating the agile process and test-driven development, using object-oriented development tools to analyze, model, design, construct and test reusable objects, and making the codebase better.
The Asset Management Platform Engineer role places a strong emphasis on development and automation. You'll be responsible for creating custom scripts, API integrations, and dashboards that drive efficiency and innovation across enterprise asset discovery. This role provides the opportunity to design and implement automation solutions that streamline Tanium operations, from agent health checks to data reporting. You'll also collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the functionality of the Tanium platform and integrate it with Flexera ITAM, Claroty OT, and other critical enterprise services. In addition to hands-on development, you'll be cross-trained on Flexera and Claroty, gaining exposure to multiple platforms and expanding your expertise in asset discovery and infrastructure operations.This role allows you to leverage your development and infrastructure skills to enhance Tanium operations. You'll create innovative automation and reporting solutions, work on key integrations, and develop expertise in Flexera and Claroty platforms within a collaborative environment.

Required Skills & Experience
- Full stack development experience (e.g., Python, React, REST APIs).
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure management, or software development.
- Hands-on experience with Tanium, including developing automation and API-based integrations.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
- Knowledge of API development, platform automation, and integration best practices.
- Experience building Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Familiarity with asset management platforms such as Tanium, Flexera, or Claroty.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with Agile project management and DevOps practices.
- Cross-platform experience supporting asset management platforms such as Tanium, Claroty, and Flexera.

What You Will Be Doing
- Develop automation solutions to optimize Tanium operations, including agent deployments, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Build and maintain API integrations between Tanium and other platforms (e.g., Flexera, Claroty, SCCM, security tools).
- Create custom scripts using PowerShell, Python, or Bash to automate tasks like agent health checks, updates, and data analysis.
- Design and implement Power BI dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights on asset discovery and compliance.
- Support and troubleshoot Tanium agents and infrastructure to ensure platform stability.
- Collaborate with SAM analysts, cybersecurity teams, and application engineers to improve enterprise asset visibility.
- Document technical processes, including API workflows, integration guides, and automation scripts.
- Assist with platform updates, patching, and performance optimization to ensure high availability and security.
