Title: Compliance/Logistics Analyst - A

Location: Chicago, Illinois

Duration: 6 Months

100% Onsite

Skills Required:

Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This role requires full-time auditing of US import documents and US Customs declarations for accuracy and data integrity.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and data analysis.
Ability to seek out data and information to ensure 100% completion.
Ability to confidently document errors, issues, and findings. Capable of determining and conducting root cause analysis, recommending corrective actions, and escalating to supervisor when necessary.
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information in accordance with company policies.
Familiarity with US import-related terminology such as USHTS, COO, USDA, FDA, and TSCA.
Understanding of import documents such as BOL, HAWB, MB, invoice, arrival notices, packing list, CF7501, CF3461, and ABI notes.
Prior auditing experience in US Imports is preferred.
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle is a plus.
Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in US Import, brokerage, or forwarding, with a preference for US Import clearance processing and knowledge of medical devices and equipment.
A college degree is preferred but not required.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform 100% auditing of all US import documents and declarations.
Verify that all US imports are accompanied by required documents such as HAWBs, BOLs, invoices, packing lists, USDA guidelines, permits, and TSCA forms.
Communicate internally with departments such as purchasing, finance, engineering, R&D scientists, and production teams regarding on-market material.
Maintain the division’s SharePoint system for all US imported material, ensuring auditing is completed in alignment with Corporate Policies.
Ensure compliance with customs regulations, including tariff classification, valuation, and country of origin requirements.
Coordinate with internal teams, clients, customs brokers, and government agencies to resolve customs-related issues.
Stay informed about changes in customs regulations, trade agreements, and industry best practices.
