Project Manager Supply Chain (Warehouse Automation)

For one of our clients active within the retail sector, we are currently looking for a Project Manager Supply Chain & Commerce focusing on warehouse automation and mechanisation.

As the Project Manager you will support the team in testing and implementing innovative automation solutions within retail distribution centres. You will play a key role in translating strategic goals into successful pilot projects and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Translating mechanisation and automation concepts into structured, testable pilots
* Leading planning, execution, and evaluation of tests in live warehouse environments
* Collaborating with internal teams, suppliers, and technical partners to align on goals
* Monitoring performance, gathering data, and providing actionable insights
* Managing full project lifecycle: scope, budget, planning, reporting, and change management
* Facilitating decision-making processes and writing investment proposals
* Ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards
* Fostering collaboration across departments and external stakeholders

Profile:
* Background within Project Management or similar, preferably in Supply Chain or Logistics
* At least 8 years of experience in leading complex projects within a retail environment
* Proven experience with mechanisation and automation solutions, preferably AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots)
* Experience in testing, implementing, analyzing, and evaluating supply chain mechanisation projects
* Strong analytical skills and hands-on mentality
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to switch between executive and operational levels
* Experience in international, fast-growing, and multidisciplinary environments
* Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus

Project:
Start: 1 Sept.
Duration: 5 months (with possible extension)
Hours per week: full-time
Compensation: (based on experience)
