Overview We are seeking an experienced
Policy Requirements Manager to join a high-profile UK Central Government programme. This is an excellent opportunity for a governance, risk, and compliance professional to play a key role in ensuring adherence to policy, regulatory, and operational requirements across a complex delivery environment.
The successful candidate will support the development and implementation of risk and compliance frameworks, drive policy awareness, and work closely with stakeholders to ensure effective governance and risk management practices are Embedded across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of compliance and governance frameworks.
- Promote awareness and understanding of organisational policies, standards, and regulatory obligations.
- Support Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) activities, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting.
- Monitor compliance with internal policies, government standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and deliver compliance training and awareness programmes to stakeholders.
- Maintain risk registers and track remediation activities.
- Conduct compliance reviews and assessments, identifying areas for continuous improvement.
- Produce governance, risk, and compliance reports for senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with compliance objectives.
- Support internal and external audits, reviews, and assurance activities.
- Provide guidance and recommendations on policy interpretation and compliance requirements.
- Drive improvements to risk management and service delivery processes.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience within Risk Management, Compliance, Governance, or GRC environments.
- Strong understanding of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) principles and methodologies.
- Experience managing compliance against policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to assess risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Experience creating and delivering compliance training and awareness initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience producing governance and compliance reporting for senior leadership.
- Ability to work independently and provide strategic recommendations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working within Central Government or the wider Public Sector.
- Knowledge of information governance and data protection requirements.
- Familiarity with audit, assurance, and control frameworks.
- Understanding of GDPR, privacy, and information security governance.
- Experience working within large-scale transformation or service delivery programmes.
Desirable Certifications
- CIPM (Certified Information Privacy Manager)
- CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional)
- CIPT (Certified Information Privacy Technologist)
- Risk Management, Governance, Audit, or Compliance-related certifications
