Data Center Technician

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Data Center Technician. Position type: Full-time, Contract Duration: 6 Months Location: Richardson, TX 75082 As a Data Center Technician, you will: Patching cabling between network equipment and customer's network. Installation of power cables from equipment to power supply in rack/cabinet/closet. Installation, troubleshooting and de-installing network equipment. Install/swap out cables, switches routers etc. Complete all hard and complex Move, Add Change (MAC) requests within the defined service levels. Provide infrastructure cabling break-fix services for network infrastructure. Perform layer 1 troubleshooting Support carrier testing of circuits. Power and uninterruptable power supply (UPS) restoral. Emergency cooling restoration. Fire suppression exercises, restoration, and post fire events. The ideal candidate will have: 2-5 yrs experience relevant experience, preferably at least 1 year in a data center environment. In-depth knowledge of structured calculating. Knowledge of IEEE and BICSI cabling standards. Experienced with Fluke Versiv Mainframe. Requires experience in working in a data centers and communications closets.
